Samsung LN40B630 Review

In this review I will compare Samsung LN40B630 with Sony KDL-40V5100 follow as my acquaintance.

My anticipations of the Samsung LN40B630 are that it would function much like the number one LCD. Then I could not have been more erroneous. Samsung LN40BB630 is like viewing another big leap in a LCD TVs experience, whenas the Sony appeared to be of antiquated LCD. The hue and width of Samsung’s visual color tones are dazzling and fascinating. Suitable example thing of that happened from watching panoramas of the mountain and the sea. The Sony could not equal Wide Color Enhancer 3 processor of Samsung with its 3D capabilities and colorful tones of Bittersweet, Bright turquoise, Dark champagne and Dark khaki clearly seen under the panorama. It virtually was similar to being that place.

Samsung’s dynamic contrast of 80,000:1 was obviously greater to the Sony’s 50,000:1 and persuaded me that Samsung LCD HDTV contrast rating was over a marketing strategy numbers. The viewing angle of the Sony was frightful when watching it from lateral by notice meat color change to Brass color. For Samsung LN40B630 viewing angle was incomparably preferable by retaining the accurate color, and it still had a good contrast and brightness. Actually the swivel base of Samsung was helped it for viewing angle problem.

The downside to Samsung’s advanced technology was that every movie appeared as video and lost its magical cinema quality. Sony was superior in dealing with this issue. To address that problem, the backlight and contrast settings have to be toned down to soften the picture and to preserve a film’s attributes. Most importantly, an adjustment to the 120 Hz Motion Plus feature must be done in order to keep movies from appearing surreal. While some recommend turning the 120 Hz off, I found video blurring far too annoying and placed the Auto Motion Plus to a custom setting of 6 for blur and judder reduction. That seemed like a good compromise without losing much of the film’s realistic movement. Experiment with every adjustment to find your best settings and calibration instructions are easily found on [...]. It all came together beautifully for me and hopefully this information can be helpful to you.

The disadvantage of Samsung. Lack of advanced technology from Samsung is that each film was released on video, it will has lost its magic quality of the film. Sony was excellent in treating this problem. Fix this problem, the back-light and contrast must be relaxed to soften the image and to preserve the attributes of the film. Above all, a modification to the 120 Hz Auto Motion Plus feature should be done for prevent movies from display surrealistic. However some suggest deactivating the 120Hz, I found many of the deleted video angry and throw Automotion Plus, custom setting from 6 to reduce the soft and fuzzy. It seemed a great compromise without falling from a lot of more realistic film. Experiment with any adaptation of your best calibration parameters, and the instructions are easy to find on many forums.

Extremely recommend for other buyers. The number of HDMI ports makes it very approachable for multiple game machines and my Cable/DVR. No glare when the sun is coming in the windows, MUCH better than what I saw on several sets at the local stores.
